new article in Science
This is a great article that explains the science behind migraine and the new drugs coming along. Good background to give to those who think it's all in our heads.

Really good article. One of the things they point out is the hypersensitivity. I have always been able to hear the smallest noise and normal volume seems unbearably loud. I had my hearing tested years ago, it was twice the normal for human beings.
Eyesight, oddly the same way, I am 60 years old and have 20/13 vision without glasses, normal perfect vision is 20/20.
Odors, I can smell the sweat on a gnat from miles away I can't count the number of times I have been somewhere and said , oww what is that smell?!! So cologne or perfume odors are incredibly strong smelling to me and will trigger migraine.
Touch, most of the time I can't stand to be touched unless it is a very light caress. Having someone lean on me in a seat in an airplane makes my skin crawl and I start feeling claustrophobic.
The other is taste, I can pick out seasoning in a recipe to determine how much is needed. On the other hand foods that many people love are repugnant to me.
Its all about the 5 Senses and I think Migraineurs are hypersensitive in all 5 of them. Finding a way to calm those down would be huge, at least hearing, smell and light sensitivity. Keep us inform and thanks for sharing!
