What would you pick as your last meal?

Post  milo on Wed 20 Apr 2011, 10:36 am

I've always loved this question and it's been interesting how the answer has changed as I get older.

My standard answer has always been sushi....and I suppose on most days it still is. But sushi has a lot of stuff that I no longer eat in it, so it's slowly being moved to the backburner for me.

My new absolute fave is a candied walnut salad that I make almost every night to go with dinner. I candy the walnuts with coconut sugar and agave nectar, slice up fresh strawberries, add an avacodo and put it all on nice greens with a balsamic reduction as dressing. Shoot...it's 9:30 in the morning and now I'm craving it because I typed this...lol

What would you have as your last meal?

Without even tasting it, your salad. A Cornish pastie, and my Moms potato sausage. My homemade Mac n cheese, followed with a creme brûlée for dessert. A nice cailfornia roll would to too. A little bit of buttermilk and Id be good to go...FOR DAYS! Twisted Evil

Of course, I would have to be migraine free.....

Definately Creme Brule or two! Salt Herring fresh from Holland. Real Belgium Chocolate. And Bloody Mary's and Beer until I am knocked out drunk. Being drunk really looks fun and currently for me it equates to pain. Yep, I'd like to be the one that is stupid drunk for a change.

Definitely alcohol, lots of it - I haven't had a decent drink since 20 years ago.
I love red 01-02 dry wine, beer, I love all kinds of drinks, I love Amaretto di Saronno, Scotch,
vodka, 01- 02 dry champagne, rum, vermouth, I'll drink even Cognac and gin - everything except licorice- can't stand licorice.

yummmmmm

I'm one of the lucky few that can drink with my migraines...in fact, they used to be a part of my unofficial treatment. I'd take two tylenol #3's with a beer.

I'm slightly more careful now cus I really could use my liver staying healthy.

When there is a cure, there should be a big hall rented with hotel rooms upstairs, and we will all get sh$! faced drunk. Chocolate and forbidden foods on the side and all the kinds of drink mixes you can imagine. It will likely be shut down by 8:00 cause we will have a low tolerance for alcohol, except Milo who can keep things going until we get a second wind.

Gluten in every form!Fluffy doughnuts, fresh whole wheat bread, soft pretzels, pizza, cannolis, cake. Oh what a dream! Of course, I would have to die right away, before the stomach pain hit!

@enigma...let me know the date and time. I'm there! Ahhh...I think a big pitcher of nice fresh sangria. Or maybe a marguerita. Or (and my Dad always chringed at this) a scotch and Ginger ale ( he said it was a waste of good scotch, but I love it). You know what they say : Lifes too short not to have an umbrella in your drink!

Count me in guys!,
and add all sort of home made pastries, cakes, whipped cream concoctions with all kind of fruits to the buffet.

That of course after dinner of hearty Chicago grilled steak on crispy bacon slices with baked potatoes and Caesar salad
to help it go in easier.

Drinks poured freely in between all this,

The ambulance waiting with the oxy/morphine/triptan IV right behind the corner wouldn't hurt, either.

Such a hard decision!

My last meal would be a waldorf salad, leg of lamb (medium) with gravy, roasted asparagus, and garlic roasted potatoes. Along with a really good wine. For desert, a really good cup of coffee and creme brulee.

Yummmm...

Count me in on the party... Chocolate, pastries, drinks....
