Tricks you know to ease the life with M...
Since M does not discriminate - it hits whenever and wherever - I have learned to live with M as best as I can.
This is what helps me to function as best as I can while living with M disease.
1. I never ever leave home without my meds
I have two pill boxes in my purse for my M medication
One is for 3-6 triptans, one is for a bunch of painkillers and a spare Topamax
(and I have a week supply of Topamax, always)
2. I have an office safe where I keep all my meds, locked
The only problem is- it's heavy and have no handles to grab in case of fire....gotta think of something for it..
3. I have fake wood blinds and a black-out curtains in my bedroom windows
4. by my bed I always have:
~a digital clock
~ a lip smacker
~ a water bottle
~ a face cloth (folded, to cover my eyes and/or to hold the ice packs)
~ a Gravol Ph box
~ one painkiller Rx box
~ one triptan Rx box
~ one pill cutter
~ a small vomit bucket (it's kiddie beach bucket, really)
~ box of Kleenex)
~ box of Migraine patches (for emergencies, when you are to weak to get up and make a decent ice pack)
5. in the freezer, I have 5 trays full of ice cubes at all times
hmmmm..... that's all I remember so far.
Also, if I was younger, instead of a bedside stand or table I wold buy a little fridge to have those ice packs right by the bed.
Me, all those years I had to do exhausting trips to the kitchen in a haze of nauseating excruciating pain, uggh.
