My migraine is causing neurological symptoms
I'm kinda freaking out. I have had neurological symptoms before, but minor enough to "hide" so that most people don't notice, or just think I'm having difficulty finding words.
The past few days it's been very bad, and very noticable. This is affecting me work! I don't really know what to do. It causes a type of dyslexia, and my words come out of my mouth the same way a dyslexic spells. Literally I am dyslexic when I type or write, but my words are coming out that way too...when they actually come out. I keep not being able to get the words out at all.
Do I tell my pain specialist when I see him next or do I call to make an appointment with my neurologist? (I may no longer be able to get in to see him, as it's been so long since I saw him and he will likely ask for a referral). What do I do?

Don't freak out, sweetie, it's normal with some types of M,
although what is recommended - always when it is a new symptom is to go and see your dr.
here's something that may calm your fears a bit:

Re: My migraine is causing neurological symptoms
Milo, at the point my Ms got very bad, about six, seven years ago, the Drs were convinced I had MS because of the stumbling, slurring, visual problems. And I researched MS and it all made sense. Except I didn't have it. I had eegs, ekgs, spinal taps, MRIs, you name it I had it. Nothing.
Then I was sent to a psychiatrist.
I changed GPs because my old one transferred and she sent me to a neurologist. Hmm....my every so often migraines had become chronic with different manifestations.
Last year my aura changed. I called the Dr who made an emergency appt for me with the eye Dr thinking I had a detached retina. Diagnosis? Migraine. My ever evolving migraine.
