Does anyone take flexeril for their migraines?
I have had flexeril sitting around for a very long time for an old back injury. I only ever took it once and it wiped me out for waaay too long.
I'm pretty desperate right now with my migraines, so I decided to try half last night. It actually took my migraine AWAY!!!!!
I slept ok, but I woke this morning without my headache! I can feel it lingering, so I suspect it is not actually gone...but holy crow...I'll give it another shot later today with another flexeril if I need to. Fingers crossed that it works.
Anyone else tried this?

I winder if it was the muscle relaxant or the sleeping soundly.
You've mentioned your under a ton of stress at work. Has that been effecting your sleep?
My head has been behaving...somewhat...the last few days, and I think it's because I'm sleeping so soundly with the Cymbalta. In fact the last two mornings wihen hubby has come in to wake me up for work I scared the bejeebers out of him by shouting " BOO" Usually he has to shake and shake to get me awake and then I moan " fifteen more minutes please"

The flexeril may have helped last night, but I'm back in migraine hell again now.
I may take some time to look into cymbalta. I'm so glad you are having some good days. I sure hope your mothers day is migraine-free.

My mother in law just told me she used to wake up every day with a headache. Her doctor prescribed flexeril every night and that seemed to clear up the headaches.

hi milo,
late to the thread. flexeril can help--but watch the side effects of constipation. another muscle relaxer that sometimes help is baclofen.
take care!

Ha Ha, Kitty...I never should have showed you a pic of my gorgeous hubby. Down, girl, down!
I like to keep hubby on his toes....like throwing ice water on him when he is taking a shower (but which is worse...not knowing it's coming, or sitting soaking and enjoying a wonderful bubble bath only to see hubby advancing from the doorway with a pitcher of ice water. You know it's coming....but no where to run!!!!!)

Re: Does anyone take flexeril for their migraines?
Hi, everyone. So sorry to chime it so late on this. I take flexeril sometimes. My neuro suggests taking it to give me a break from tylenol (also take a twice-a-day oxycontin). It helps with neck and shoulder aches as well has general head pain.
