I would never go without a lip smacker, lipstick, a mascara,
a face moisturizer, body lotion,
toothpaste and a shampoo...

Re: What cosmetic would you never go without?...
Jeez...I thought you meant one cosmetic, so I was all prepared to answer for a single one. lol
If I could just have one...it would be my proactiv. The stuff works wonders and so even without any makeup at all I can have a beautiful complexion.
As for if I was speaking of all the cosmetics I couldn't live without...proactiv, shampoo, mascara...though I do love eye makeup...I could live without it. I never wore any makeup at all until I was in my 30's! Not a stitch!

Re: What cosmetic would you never go without?...
My husband prefers me au naturel, so I stopped wearing makeup 10 years ago. Very liberating! I guess my favorite things are Aussie hairspray, and the only conditioner that works on my hair is the one that comes with my haircolor. I hoard that stuff, even beg it from friends.

Moisturizer and Mascara... that is an everyday thing. Work days get the whole shebang. Moisturizer, mineral foundation, eye shadow, liner, mascara and lipstick.

Re: What cosmetic would you never go without?...
Cindy, I wish I knew that sooner!
I threw a bunch of this stuff months ago as I generated a few tubes from the time when I still did hair at home.
I developed allergy and at least sensitivity to most of the hair products, so stopped using a number of them,
this heavy duty conditioner among it.
Now I don't color my hair at home anymore because I just don't have the strength and patience for it.
besides, nobody satisfies me in this area except for my daughter, but she doesn't like to do it, arrgh.
I however know of two conditioners that are very close to the ones in the hair coloring sets that you may
want to try, Cindy:
TRESemme' Anti-Breakage Conditioner
http://www.tresemme.com/Products/Anti--Breakage/Anti--Breakage-Conditioner/
and BC BonaCure hairtherapy amino cell rebuild color save conditioner
http://img1.wantitall.co.za/images/ShowImage.aspx?ImageId=Schwarzkopf-BC-Bonacure-Hairtherapy-Color-Save-Conditioner-204-ml|319rU5wXdnL.jpg
I especially like the BC one. Smells like heaven, too!
I suppose if you don't like them, you can always return them. However, I hope it works for you!
Try also once or twice a month Alberto Vo5 Hot Oil treatment.
Please make sure it's hot oil moisture soak treatment not the other kinds.
Be careful when you apply the product after soaking it in hot water
- it gets really HOT! I burnt my scalp the first time I did that!
Alberto VO5 Hot Oil Weekly Intense Conditioning Treatment
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VLA%2BUp3uL.jpg
they used to be available in aluminum pouches as well.
As for the other formulas the cremes, with additives- etc I never tried them myself so I can't tell
but why not try and see?
then please make sure you tell me! as I'll be dying to know

Re: What cosmetic would you never go without?...
Risa, Thanks for the info. I will try them. My hair is finicky. It is thin, but rather coarse. So, I have to find something that makes it softer and shiny, but not limp. I think I might have tried the Tresemme one, I will look at the store. The hot oil is too much for my hair, I have tried it before. Maybe I will try the other one you mentioned, if I can find it.
Hugs,
Cindy

Re: What cosmetic would you never go without?...
How about the Argan (Moroccan) Oil, also?
It's not as greasy as it sounds, and there are formulas to all kind of hair.
There is pure, 100% oil, then there is light formula for oily hair and richer for dry hair and so on.
I tried the light one as my hair are oily and very fine, and it's superb! I loved it!
This is however quite expensive, so perhaps ask for a sample first, or, if they don't have samples to give away
then make sure about their return policy.
Re: price, expensive, but then you need only a dime amount so it should last a long time.
Most important, YOU ARE WORTH IT !!!
As for TResemme', well they have a few kinds of conditioners but this particular one contains gelatin which makes it
different from the other ones.
I also found how to make your own conditioner with gelatin:
For a nourishing hair conditioner, pour one package of gelatin into one fourth cup of warm water. Stir until the gelatin has completely dissolved.

Wonder if this will work? If you will try this, do tell, please!
