Archeological discovery in my very home!!...

Post  Cluelesskitty on Thu 23 Jun 2011, 5:12 pm

lol.... in my fridge, to be exact..

Found 4 curious very furry green little circles on the small fancy china dish,
which after careful examination turned out to be...
... forgotten, priest blessed, polish sausage pieces from Easter. hence the fancy plate Very Happy

which further prompted a totally futile but very satisfying discussion between me and the hubby
about how I told you so, I told you to give it to the dog now and you've said no, because it's been blessed
you can't give a blessed food to the dog it's blasphemy! and I will eat it later, and I said not you won't and it will spoil,
better let the dog have it than let it go to waste, you'll see,
and you said it no it won't, now you have to eat it. I am sure you won't get sick since it's been blessed, hmm.
but he didn't believe me and declined

Deciphering fuzzy food is right up with "track the mystery smell" for my very favorite kitchen games.

Ha! It reminds me of one of George Carlin's routines. Here's the appropriate excerpt.

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator
and come out with something that you cannot identify...at all. You literally
do not know what it is! Could be meat...could be cake. Usually, at a time like
this, I'll bluff:

'Honey, is this good?'

'Well, what is it?'

'I don't know...I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...MEATCAKE!'

'Well, smell it!'

'(sniff)-ah, (sniff)-ah...it has absolutely no smell whatsoever!'

'It's good!' "
