Wanted: Job for chronic migraine and Lyme sufferer

Post  30yrsofheadache on Wed 06 Jul 2011, 5:11 am

the other night, after doing the bills, my husband declared (for the hundredth time),"You need to get a full time job". So we had the old argument about what kind of job can I do? I already have a petsitting business for cats and now we have our house on the market so I have to keep it superclean. I asked him what kind of job he thought I could manage? He said that is up to me. As if I dont think about that every day! I have at least 8-14 days of migraine/month and also pain and fatigue from Lyme. I take a 1-2 hour rest/nap daily or else I crash. So, how does this ad sound?

Wanted: Full time job with benefits. Must not involve standing more than 1/2 hour, bright lights, noisy environment, strong smells. Would need sick leave 8-14 days/month and a hour or two daily to lie down. Good hard worker when not ill!

Sorry for the rant, had to get that off my chest or SOMEONE is going to get hurt!
hugs,
Cindy

That really sucks! Your hubby must really be feeling the stress to be so insensitive. I'm sorry. It must be very stressful for you to feel pressure like that. Sad

Gosh, how awful - the pressure on you and how guilty it must make you feel.
My husband also often complains about me not working and him being the only breadwinner.

Well tough. It's not my fault. the exit door is always open.

Thanks, ladies. Yes, my hubbie is feeling stressed, but he has never been a sensitive guy. He doesnt know what to do so he does nothing.

On one hand, I understand men when they are feeling frustrated and helpless they tend to take out their feelings on us,
still on the other it's not nice to put us down, humiliate and belittle like that.
We are innocent of what happened to us, period.

Be a man a keep your promise -"for better, or for worse" !
