Reading "The Help" Empty Reading "The Help"

It's been a very long time since I have had the time to read a book just for fun. I really don't have the time now, but I saw the trailor for "The Help" and knew that I needed to get the book quickly or else I'd end up watching the movie first...something I never do.

My friend gave me his copy and I've barely put it down. I'm very close to the end and sad to see it. It's an easy, but great read. It's sitting beside me right now and I'm trying not to pick it up as I know I only have a few short pages left. Gosh I miss reading books!

I've heard of this book, too. I already purchased it, and it's waiting to be read when I will come back from my vacation.
Good to know you are enjoying it Milo.

Hope you'll too, Charlotte!

I picked up the sample for my kindle, now I'm debating on spending the $10, or putting it on hold at the library. My mom and I just discussed this book/movie earlier today, and I'm getting very intrigued.

I'm starting it in about half and hour. No work tomorrow so I can read all night.

I am starting it tonight. Just finished The girl with the dragon tattoo. I will be reading the rest of that series eventually.

Loved the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I read and loved the second one too but I am waiting for the third to come out in paperback.

Just bought The Help today. I will be starting it the minute I finish the book I am reading now. I have heard nothing but good about this book. Glad to hear everyone likes it.

Happy reading everyone!

So, I found it on sale for 48, so I've got a paper copy, but I really enjoyed The Help. I used it as my last pleasure read of the summer, before anything not relating to the lungs goes onto the wait pile. I really enjoyed it. If you get the chance to get your hands on a copy, please do. It's not all fluffy like most pleasure reads, but even the 'heavier' parts are enjoyable.

It was my last read before school too! Almost re-read it right after putting it down!

I'm half way through The Help and loving it. Didn't get as much reading done as I wanted, I ended up baby sitting all day Sunday. Won't be volunteering for that again!

Charlotte-

I understand completely...Friday I was my brother's emergency childcare (his lady has had an awful cold for over a week), which was, of course, the day my copy arrived in the mail. I read every time he napped.

Now yesterday, I started coming down with the cold...I love my nephew, but I forgot that infants are human petri dishes.
