Cordless phone woes... Empty Cordless phone woes...

This is my umpteenth cordless phone set - a V-Tech that I bought with two receivers to make life easier,
instead, these phones make us crazy for the batteries are dying on us all the time!

The symbol says the battery is full but as soon as you dial the number the phone unexpectedly dies on you!

I don't want to spend hundred of dollars on some decent set, isn't really out there any dependable inexpensive brand that
can be trusted with these cordless phones that keep working after a year of use?

We have the Uniden Loud & Clear. One base one handset (we could have purchased more handsets. I think it was mid range price wise, but we purchased it because it has HUGE buttons that Robert can push with his mild cerebal palsy. Plus the numbers are huge too.

I really like it if you're interested. It's mainly black with Yellow accents.

Thanks, Char! I'll see if we have it here.

And right, lately I have so many troubles remembering the right words- of course the handset not a receiver!

I have a Uniden set too, it's fine as long as I don't get carried away and talk too long, if I do, the battery will die!
