I had the Botox done a while ago..ny neurologist put some in my neck..she told me that my neck might hurt...

Yikes, I can barely hold up my head..talk about neck pain..

Has anyone had it in your neck? Did it help you?

I love you

I had it in my neck with no effect. I'm considering doing it again with a new doctor. Apparently a lot depends on knowing the exact right places to put it.

I get it in my neck every time now, and that's from three different docs...one headache specialist, my neuro and now my pain specialist. I had a problem only once, where I felt like he had frozen my neck into the wrong position...otherwise it's been helpful. I do have many past neck injuries though from my decades of sports.

Yeah I had a lot of neck pain from it when it wore off. There is a section in my mid-neck area that caused the trouble. My DR just doesn't do that site any more, and I haven't had problems since. She asked me about it at the appt after she did it and had some paperwork she had received from the FDA stating that if patients complained of pain in the neck area to eliminate the ____ injection site. I don't know what it is actually called, but it was right in the middle. Now we just never do it there and it seems to work fine.

hmmmmm...I should probably try to figure what the site is and talk to my doc about it. I'd love to have less neck pain after my injections. Smile

Yeah, I think that's a good idea...

This was a while ago, but she said 'mid-neck'. I know she had a paper from the FDA in her hand whe she asked me about it and it stated which site exactly to avoid. I don't go back until DEc 1st, but I will try to remember to ask her then.
