This is very disturbing, to me. As Pole, I am certainly not pleased Evil or Very Mad

Does USA and Canada fare better, though? I sure hope so...

Since I am white, I can not speak for other races.
Personally, I 100% accept any other race. I could and would marry anyone outside my race. ANYONE. As an equal.

You could consider me- skin color blind. When I see people, I really don't see how they look in terms of their race that 'divides us',
but how it makes us unique and beautiful in all sort of ways.

I envy Asian people their great high cheeks and slanted eyes, I envy Black people their gorgeous gleaming black skin- all shades,
and yes, I am not afraid to say Black person for for me the word Black = proud and great, and it's always been like that!
I envy East Indian they great chiseled features, full, well defined lips, dark, moist almond eyes,
and so on.
I can tick off that race box in all honesty. (it pertains to the John Bird's article mentioned later on in one of the below links)

This British woman is obnoxious scary.
She is scaring her own child - it's sitting bewildered in his mother's lap! Poor child, growing probably to be
a future skinhead. Hopefully, a fate will interfere for the better. Maybe this is the whole point of what happens now?

Now, I am coming to the point -
regardless of how vile and astonishing this UK woman is -

in your opinion, should she have been arrested for what she did?

I think yes- the way she spewed racist remarks at bystanders was a hate crime, plus open racism.
Aren't those the offenses prosecuted by the law?
Also, by arresting her right there in the tram, the example was shown that not only racism and hate is not accepted
but public berating of innocent bystanders is not allowed either, period.

The video makes me cry. There is NO excuse for her at all. It seems she is slurring her words so I do wonder if she is drunk? Again..absolutely NO excuse.

I'm so very porud of everyone on that train that held back and did not let this become physical. It's just such disgusting inexcusable behavior. I haven't read any of the follow up as I've responded so emotionally to the video. I am so disgusted!!!! That poor child.

It is very disturbing thing to watch.
However looks like sadly these things happens.

What is uplifting, though, most people were in disagreement with the lady.

One of the persons I talked about this incident raised an interesting point, though.
She said we who live in an immigrant countries may feel differently about immigrants because we are all alike -
all from somewhere. Well, except for the Native people, that is.
But otherwise, almost all of us are immigrants or descendants of immigrants. So we may not feel like USA or Canada "belong"
to any particular nation - again, with the exception to the Native Tribes.

The Europeans, though, may feel differently because their countries formed from groups of certain races, tradition,
cultures, language, etc - and evolved into huge communities with long histories and ancestry.
I suppose it is very different than the multicultural and multi- religious pot we are used to to live in in our North America.

On the other hand, weren't it the British who invaded and colonized Indies, China, Africa
brought slaves into Britain I didn't get ?
So now what are they complaining for?

I wonder if she possibly could have Tourette's syndrome. Drunk? Or just mean and ugly?
