A little birdie told me......
....that some folks were wondering about me. I am alive and kicking. So sorry I've been out of touch. I just saw that I had a message here. I didn't know about it. I thought PM notifications were emailed to you. Hmmm I don't get it.
I am still not working (that is probably going to be my situation until the end of my life). My husband is looking forward to retirement in about 2 years. I'm sure he'd like to retire sooner but my disability makes it financially impossible.
I am going to have some surgery in a couple of weeks. It's female in nature (not anything to help my migraines). I still get random migraine attacks along with chronic daily headache.
It's freezing here in Florida! It went down into the 20s last night and "hard freeze warnings" were predicted. That means that the temperature will be below freezing for 2 hours or more. That's not good for the citrus trees and other produce. I love this weather as it is good sleeping weather.
I still stay in touch with Don (the gentleman who stumbled upon Ronda's forum a few years back. He doesn't have migraine but we took him under our wing anyway. There was a bit of a falling out between him and some members and he left). I also bug Richard every once in a while just to make sure he's okay. I emailed him today. It usually takes a while for him to get back to me.
Cheryl, Becky, Mianna and I are in touch on a daily basis. They are all doing well. Other than that, I can't think of anything else to talk about. I hope you all are doing well and your holidays were heartwarming. I am going to see if there's a box I can check which will notify me if someone responds to this post.
I will try to remember to check in here once in a while. I do miss the camaraderie we had at Ronda's.
Take care.
Love,
£eslie

Leslie,
Thanks for posting. I remember Don. He was Painman wasnt he? I hope he is doing well. If he remembers me please tell him I asked about him and say Hello for me. I was trying to remember Mianna's name last night when I wrote the post. I remember she had to move. Also a warm hello. A warm hello to all of us who come together both here and at Ronda's.
I used to live in Orlando and I know about after the two hours of below freezing. I sure hope the orange trees make it. Nothing smells better than orange blossoms while you are out taking a walk!
I have often wonderend how Richard is doing. I am glad he is well. I was never so shocked as when I logged on to Ronda's at work and found out that Steve had passed.
Good luck with your surgery and hope to see you around more.

Why, what a nice surprise Leslie, it's nice to see you dropping in
Sorry to hear about your other health troubles and that your M seem to still bother you.
I don't remember if you were/are on any preventative medication for your migraine?
In case if you don't know or forgot, I am currently on 125mg of Topamax, and knock on wood three times, it seem to be working
to a degree, meaning I don't have severe M episodes as often as I used to.
Painman - I do remember him, too and sometimes I wonder about him, too.
How is he doing, Leslie, did he ever got divorced, stuff resolved and is he single or got remarried, if you don't mind me asking?
Hope he is happy now.
And yeah, please check your options in your profile or wherever it is you need to check
if you want to be notified there are new posts via email
It's good to see you!

Re: A little birdie told me......
Its so nice to hear from some old Ronda's members. I do miss them so!I cant believe it is so cold in Florida. Its the same temp here in VA. Sorry to hear about you having surgery, I hope it goes well for you. I too am having some surgery next week. Hopefully, mine (breast reduction) will help migraines and neck pain. I hope you keep up with posting here.
Hugs,
Cindy

Re: A little birdie told me......
I had almost forgotten Don's user name! Pain Man....that's right. He did get divorced and that woman is a nut job. I will tell him you said hello. He still has Miss Angel (his little puffy white doggie). I need to write to him.
I am still on all the meds I've been on for the past 4 or 5 years. My surgery went very well and I'm very happy with the results. I mentioned what it was in another thread so no point in being coy here. It was bladder sling surgery. I was spending much too much time in the bathroom only to void about a shot glass worth at a time. (TMI, I know).
I haven't heard back from Richard and I tried again the other day. He moved to be closer to civilization (I don't think he'd mind my mentioning that). Sure hope he writes soon.
So good to hear from you all.

Good to hear from you, Leslie! Cindy, please keep me posted on the breast reduction. I saw a doctor about doing that a year ago, but he said he refuses to use anything stronger for pain relief than vicodin! So since I have to take 30 mg of percocet, he said he couldn't give me any pain control. That stinks! I'm now down to a 36DD, but earlier, I was having a lot of breast pain from being too large. The pain is a bit better now that I've lost a bit more in my breasts.
