Catching up

It's been a few weeks since I was here. Sorry to see your having problems with your thryoid Kimsmom, but relieved for you it wasn't cancer. A friend had one side of her thyroid out and the scarring is minimal, so don't think you will end up like frankinsteins monster cause you won't.

It is beautiful weather in oz at the moment, autumn and spring are our best times - not to hot not to cold - wouldn't it be great not to be at work!!

Like everyone here, my health doesn't improve. Yes I got very near a firm diagnosis last month to have it slightly dashed. The ANA blood test had a catch - yes I registered but the PATTERN of the antibodies was wrong for the mixed connective tissue disease. Like, good grief, can't something just be clear cut, just for once?? I go to the undifferentiated connective tissue disease blah blah blah.

And just to top it off, my thryoid antibodies which are supposed to drop after starting thyroid hormone replacement have gone up - doubled - since starting six months ago. What the??

How many circles are there?

I keep telling myself that life begins at 40, and that 50 is the new 40. Catch is I turn 51 soon and I can't say that I've seen much evidence of life perking up.
