Should I get a facebook page? Empty Should I get a facebook page?

Post  kimsmom Sun 28 Jul 2013, 8:24 am

I do not have a facebook page. Is this something that most of you all are on so you can communicate? Just wondering if I should get one. Any ideas on that for me? I have my girls here to set one up for me if I want one. I really like to be incognito if you know what I mean so I have not gotten one yet. But it might bring me closer to friends who live far away and we can help one another.

Any thoughts my migraine friends? Are most of you on facebook?

I actually don't have one, my daughter is adamantly against me having one. she insist it will be "conflict of interests" and if I sign up,
she will close hers, so... in the face  (lol) of such a threat I decided to leave her alone.
I am anyway pretty inactive online except for Underworld, and two or three migraine forums (one Polish)
so, I don't need the Facebook that much as her.

But looks like you do have a reason to sign up, Kim, so why not go ahead and enjoy being connected to all your friends, and more! Smile
yeah! I think you should get one
cheers

From what I understand, most kids think Facebook is old school. I like it mostly for the pictures myself. I keep my very, very private though.

I have a Facebook page. I have 2 daughters who are on Facebook. One doesnt mind me being her friend. The other only allows me limited access to her page. She says it is because I wouldnt like some of the things her friends post, and I am OK with that. She is still in college.Shocked  I have noticed a lot less posting in general there. My girls say they use other things like Instagram now. If you do join Facebook, I would be glad to be friends with you! Just send me a PM. The only other person here I am friends with on Facebook is Cheryl.
Hugs,
Cindy

I enjoy it a lot. Especially in the winter when it is cold outside.

I have a FaceBook page and also a cooking page I opened on facebook. Our kids, all grown are on Facebook and have accepted us as friends, so we have full access to their page as far as what they write on it or someone else does.

We had to agree NOT to write on their page or if we do,very infrequently Smile Also, no comments on their friends posts. Hey, its better than being "blocked". I love the cooking page I opened. FB is nice when you feel like crap, can't get the energy to even get dressed, you can at least instant message with friends.

I think you might enjoy it !!

Thank you for all your responses. I have not been on here in a while so sorry for the late response.

I still have not decided but my youngest daughter will be leaving for college in the fall. I had to laugh at Trinity cause I have been told never to answer their friends posts as well as to not post at all on my youngest daughters facebook. She lets me on hers.

I see all these advertisements on facebook. Is that were you "like it" and they send you posts? I would hate that. I have a few people I would like to touch base with that I attended college with back in the day. Also some of you I would like to "talk with" thanks Cindy for the invite. I will keep that in mind when and if I do a facebook page. My husband has one now and says he doesn't bother with it much. Well I see differently! lol

When and if I get one I will let you all know and see if we can connect up more often.

painfree days all!
