Roll call..
Hi everybody, I haven't been able to post much due to prolonged Internet connection interruptions, but now I am online for a while,
so I thought I will catch up with you guys - so I am okay, still renovating my house (I know!!!! it takes a g e s) - and getting so tired
of it, but what gets most to me is not being able to live at my own place - I have to rent for the time being, and boy, is it inconvenient
having to 1. not being able to have a heating to your liking (no wooodstove) and 2. having to share with neighbours!
Not that I have a bad ones, actually I have wonderful neighbours, is just that if you rent a basement suite in a two story house
there is not that much privacy, and you have to be conscious of how much noise you make and when etc for example no vacuuming your carpets if the mood strikes you at 2 am lololol, and there is hot water issues, and the washer/ dryer sharing etc oh well
otherwise all is peachy, I guess once you got used to live in your own house is hard to go back, eh.
We had wonderful summer this year, I miss it terribly. Now we have December - hard to believe how fast the time goes,
and it got pretty nippy out there. I think a couple nights ago it was, like, -8'C or something like that, ouch. nippy, nippy.
and they said on news weather chill factor is even colder than that, brrrr.
looking back I think I had okay summer migraine -wise, but in the fall as soon as it started to rain and got colder I started getting stuffy sinuses so the migs intensified. actually yesterday I had a nasty humdinger that lasted well into early evening - 'bout 5-6pm,
and today I am so exhausted.
besides that, everything's same ol' same ol',
how about you guys? I missed you!
Risa

Hello
Hey Kitty,
Good to hear from you. I am doing ok. Actually, feeling the pain of barely there but ramping up migraine, so I'm medicating and calling it a night.
Hope you feel better soon and are back in your own home sweet home.
Good night.
Kimba

Mouseketeer roll call! Sara, here.
Good Luck with your renovations...we got our hardwood floors refinished last summer, as well as new carpet, and those were a tough couple a weeks, hang in there. We're all glad to hear from you again.

Hi, Risa. Good to hear from you again. Sorry you are not back in your house yet . Do you have any idea when it will be finished? I am doing OK, no real change in migraines (or life). I have been able to sign up for 2 days a week of volunteering (only 2 hours) for a therapeutic riding center. It is easy work, just walking around making sure the rider doesnt fall off. I love being outside, with horses and kids.
I am really trying to figure out how many times I will miss due to health issues. Someday I hope to work part-time again. Really hoping my head gets better with Menopause. I am also getting some experimental treatments with electric current to areas of pain. So far, great for neck, bad for head.
Looking forward to Zoe coming home for Christmas break. My older daughter who is married, reallly wants to spend Christmas Eve here wit husband and large dog (we have 2 of our own). Plus Zoe is bringing home her new-found cat> Might be rather circus-like .
Hugs,
Cindy

Re: Roll call..
Hey Kimsmom here!
I have had a bad year, but you all know that from my previous posts. I am getting better with dealing with the death of my beloved mother. I joined a grief counseling group and it has been a good experience. I am also enjoying the people as well as helping others with their grief. As time goes on I am doing better. The holidays are tough but the first year holidays are always tough.
I am enjoying the last year with my youngest daughter. Kimberly (hence Kimsmom lol) She is a joy and we are very close. I will miss her so much when she goes to college in the fall. She is a cheerleader so I am busy with her activities which has helped both of us. My oldest daughter will be home for Christmas and I am looking forward to seeing her. She will be home on Monday which is my birthday.
Speaking of my birthday, this is a big one. 60! I do not like the sound of that and it has bothered me some. I also have been looking to get better migraine wise with menopause but I hate to say I have not gotten better at all! Shame really. I was always told there was a chance I would get better and I have been looking forward to the day. I have not quite given up yet but I wish it would please hurry up. I am not asking for no headaches, just better.
I have not had any renovations to my house although I need to get my house painted outside and get my driveway fixed. Maybe next year. I had to replace my air conditioner which I did not plan on which took over $5000.00 so that was the end of my renovations for the year!
I am still enjoying my gardening and raking at the moment. I love working in the yard. I am also enjoying many good books. My two hobbies.
I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Painfree as well...
