I know that all of us have our own battles. I'm having my own.

Just for the forum if you're skimming to take a look, just log in and say hello. It's ok lurker's I know it's hard to explain all the complexities, but at least just post a hello and a very brief status. I'll start.

--Mild migraines, lots of doc appoints, got another stent in my right coronary (heart) in Januray and vascular problems continue. Tons of meds, tons of doc appointments. But as long as the vascular aspect is treated the migraines are minimal.

OK, I have the Winter blahs Not too bad, but my best friend just got a full time job, so I am lonely. Oh well, I have a bridal shower to plan and a MOB dress to buy.Also, I wrote an article about Lyme disease for our neighborhood magazine. My head is getting worse in a way.

I suppose it is the approaching Menopause. Now, I get one week of very severe migraine before my P (being delicate) and another week of headachy pain during. On the positive front, I did finally get my big hitter medicine back. I have to pay for it without insurance and its crazy expensive. When the sun starts shining again, I will post more. I do read here every day.

I'm busy with work, but doing better with the migraines so long as I keep wearing my cpap. I'm down to 3 a month rather than the old three a week pattern I had before my sleep apnea was diagnosed.

I am doing fairly well actually, with the exception of a rotten cold that showed up yesterday. No blip on the migraine radar for the last 7 days Like that! Just finished the bulk of a Commentary on the Book of Revelations to be published. Have about another week to refine and ship out to the publisher.

Today we have a high of 63 degrees woo hoo!! The windows are open and the cleaning has begun Actually I clean every Thursday, but its nice having the fresh air inside

Depakote not causing any problems yet, hoping it stays that way.

Hi! I'm hanging in there. I had been having some pain spikes, but doing a bit better now. I'm seeing a new doctor (well, since last spring) and its been a really good thing. Still on way too many meds, but it keeps me going. Best wishes.

I'm bumming. Two high-level migraines that required Demerol this week. Today's dose didn't even help the pain. I was supposed to meet a friend from Sweden who's visiting SF today, but had to cancel due to my head. I don't know when I'll ever get another chance to see him.

I'm sorry to hear that Platy...it stinks when we have to cancel or change plans because of our heads. I jinxed myself, talking about the good earlier. I'm fighting a decent, but not a Colt-45 level migraine now. sorry if I've mixed up words/letters, I've caught two, but who knows what I'll notice tomorrow

I am hanging in there. I was able to go on a trip with my father to South Carolina- which was great. However, the post trip migraine is hitting with a vengeance.

I am still fainting a good bit- Dora does help some.

The head pain is really bad at the moment. The current pain meds aren't working very well right now- I take klonopin, Tylenol 3 and ultram. However, my pain dr. doesn't want to write for anything between Tylenol 3 or the long acting pain meds. I really don't want to go that route at the moment. I think there has to be some middle ground.

I am seeing a new neuro Monday- maybe he will have some new ideas.

I'm blaming the weather here, we've gone all over the temperature charts, and in the last week or so have had a thunderstorm warning/watch, a tornado watch, a high wind advisory, record setting high/humid and we're expecting a possibility of snow tomorrow.

Sounds like the weather her in VA, too!

Hi friends!!!! I'm not awesome, but I'm not horrible either....so I'll take it! I have had quite the adventure stopping meds. In adventure I kind of mean hell. But, I do see a change in the nature of the pain and am more acutely aware of severe pain in my neck.

I would consider this experiment an epic fail. We will see what the doc says when I go in for my injections in a few weeks.

Hi everyone, I've really been MIA from the forum but often think of you all.
Still dealing with migraines and other health issues. Right now have a horrid case of the Flu.

I'd like to try and visit more often and will really try, life is just so busy it seems and I always seem to have some health issues I don't want to bother you all with.

I would like to thank you all for being here and for understanding what it is like to deal with the migraine dragon.
I know I have been more go e then here since school started and I hope that can change now that I'm almost done.

As well, would like to say hello. I'm having my ups and downs--quite fatigued lately. Hope you guys are doing ok.

hi everyone, been a bit since i've posted. was having migraines every day so took a prednisone pulse, first one since august. that gave me a nice 5 days free of migraines, although i couldn't sleep the first 2-3 days, was actually manic. that kind of sucked. now off the prednisone and the HA's are back which is what usually happens, but today has been good. a day w/o a HA is a good day!

Hello all!! I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for this blog! I have had migraines since before I can remember. I just read the migraine episodes post. I feel like taking it down to my new doctoros office right now. She made me feel like I am nuts. I have always had migraines like this. Its hard for other people who don't know that migraine episodes exists. Thank you again.

I am glad you found us! We all suffer in different ways and some of us have several health issues as well as the migraine monster.

Sorry about your doc not being on top of things, sadly that seems to be the case often.

I can say that when I found this group I was considering suicide because of the pain, just having everyone here to sound off on has kept me in the game.

WELCOME! So glad you found us. There is lots of great information buried in the site. Lots of helpful tools you can use to take to your doctor. Sadly, your experience is super common. Seems no matter what country you live in it is the same....migrainers suffer because the medical profession is clueless.

Again, welcome to our little underground world, where it is safe to say what you are feeling because we all share the same monster.

We are still hanging in there. Anna is inpatient at Diamond in Chicago right now, and today she agreed to try DHE infusions again. First time in ten years.
