Being Transparent Empty Being Transparent

Post  7777Trinity Thu 02 Oct 2014, 1:53 pm

Hi Everyone:
I wanted to be transparent so here goes, today I developed a migraine for the first time since surgery 15 weeks ago. I was hoping I would be completely free of them. That said, if this is any indication of how far apart they will be, its still a total win Smile

Now back to the cold, dark, quiet room that I seem to hate now more than I ever did. Ice pack too.

Trinity,

I bummed to hear that! But you have been doing really so much better. Try not to let it get to you. You are still much better off.

MG
I've had 3 migraines in 8 days. The last one lasted about 36 hours and was the worst I have ever had. Not sure what triggered these, except the pharmaceutical company is trying to phase out my HRT patch and I was put on a different one. It was horrible, I took it off and it took 3 weeks to get my old patch ordered and in. Not sure if the hormone (or lack of) fluxuation caused these or what.

Got the new patch yesterday and I am hoping its the cure.

Trinity, I hope the patch works also. Hormones certainly have a lot do do with this cursed condition.

Are you doing any better with the patch? What does your doctor say? Lots of positive vibes to you.

Hello Trinity,

How are you doing? Is the migraine monster back, or have you been able to get rid of it?
Hoping for the best!

Being Transparent Empty Doing Great

Post  7777Trinity Tue 18 Nov 2014, 6:54 pm

Hi Everyone:
I got the HRT patch I had been using before and within about 10 days I was back to normal again. The Monster has never come back. So I think the 4 migraines I had were because they tried to switch me to a different patch. I am going to post an update Smile

Oh,  whew...!  For a moment I was really scared for you, Trin. Like crying scared. I can imagine what is like to be fee of pain
and then suddenly be visited by the  dreaded monster. it sends one into helpless, desperate panic!
I am so glad you were able to clear up the reason why. yep, hormones play a huge role for us women with migraine.
After all, that's why so many more women than men have Migraine - because of hormones.

whew, whew, whew!
may the monster never ever come back to you, Trinity, ever!
