Do not take together...
Eletriptan -Relpax- is not to be taken with Biaxin.
This was written in my summary about Biaxin (clarithromycin), and now I wonder if this is the only triptan that should be avoided
while taking Biaxin.
Before, while I was taking brand name Maxalt and sometimes needed Biaxin I never experienced any problems.
Currently I am taking generic form of Maxalt as the brand name is no longer covered under our pharmacare (grrrr).
I wonder if this is making any difference. It could be, hmmmm
I wonder now, if at least part of my recent GI prolonged problems could have had anything to do with Maxalt/Biaxin supposed interaction???

Re: Do not take together...
Risa, I was put on Clarithromycin a few months ago and I felt like I was dying, it made me feel so ill, as soon as i came off of it I felt so much better. Were you on this recently?
Glad to hear you are feeling just a little better. It sounds like your doctor is about as helpful as mine.

Re: Do not take together...
Thanks, Ruth.
yes, I was taking Biaxin - a slow release version. The thing however, is, it was my second course this time.
The first time I was feeling great! but very soon after I've finished it I started feeling worse, that's why my Dr thought maybe it wasn't
long enough and put me back on it. go figure...
