date tomorrow nite

Well I have a date tomorrow nite. Someone I met through an online dating site. We have exchanged a bunch of messages and really hit it off. I haven't told her about the migraines though, and I'm terrified when she finds out I don't work and live on disability and sleep 12 hours a day and have a dozen medical issues she is going to lose interest. Well we'll see what happens...

Think of your positives! At least you do have an income to contribute, you can be a stay at home husband ( if all goes well), sleep your 12 hours but manage to have supper ready when she gets home from work

It is doable, just takes some planning. On migraine days, have a couple good carry out places picked so you can order in. On your "good days" have some options available to do something fun, go to the movies with earplugs ( I do), find a hobby you can do together that can be a work in progress etc..

Don't sell yourself short. I met my husband online and we have been married over 7 years and he has no intention of dumping me The migraine monster is a bear, BUT if we take the time to plan for the bad the bad days and the good days, we can just slip into that plan seamlessly. It's the only way to have any kind of life

Well I'm totally in love with her but I don't know if she'll go out with me again. She went for the hug before I could kiss her good night. That's never a good sign. Conversation was great but she's an attractive, smart woman so she can have her pick of guys.

So nice to hear you got out and had fun. I hope this woman figures out you are more than your migraines. If not, I believe there is someone for everyone out there.

Don't take the non-kiss thing as a not interested move. Most women want to move slowly to be sure they want to proceed. Give her space in the physical affection part of dating, get to know "her" first. She will respect you for that more than you can ever guess.

Give her a couple of days and contact her about getting together again. Don't rush her

I asked her out again and she said yes!
I was really expecting rejection. I told her about my migraines on the date and we talked about it at length. She was interested because she's an accupuncturist. She was very accepting and empathetic. But I didn't get any signs of physical interest from her so I thought that was the deal-breaker.

I guess the good night kiss on the first date thing is variable. On my first date w/ my last gf I didn't kiss her. Later she told me she wondered if I wasn't interested.

Oh, I did not tell her every migraineur has tried accupuncture and it's useless, LOL.

Way to go!!!!!! Everyone is different and some appreciate a more modest approach. Good luck on your second date.

Enjoy your next date and try not to rush her As for the accupuncture, if she wants to try it, let her. You never know, she may know something new. The other aspect is that it shows you trust her

Congrats! She sounds like a good person.

I agree you should try the accupuncture if she offers. It did actually stop my headache each time which was amazing. It just didn't stop them from coming back the next time. And I could feel the needles at all which is grat because I'm very squeamish.

Anyway, make your date about getting to know each other and all the great things about both you and her. Don't be all about migraines. We can't let it define us.

She's traveling to Mexico tomorrow through Sat. We'll plan date 2 when she gets back.. I would certainly let her try accupuncture if she offered.. She's a real gem, I wish I wasn't competing with 1000 other guys on online dating
