Re: No Power no power
OMG!!!
4 days without power!!! without hot water!!!
I will stop complaining it's "only" 15'C plus at this time of a year now!
Poor kids - I know the withdraw...
first the shock... then the annoyance... then the grief... then not knowing what do to with self..
then come the crazies..
then the bear wrestling comes next...
Seriously, sorry you guys are so buried without power, John!
I hope the power has already been restored as I am writing this!

Re: No Power no power
It takes 3-4 days before I stop switching on the light switch and then feeling like a fool because I know it doesn't work.
We're not as isolated as you...no bears and I've not seen a wild turkey around here but we are the only house on our road so they are not very fast to restore power.
So when we built out here we put in a big honkin' generator. Once the power is out for 30 seconds it automatically kicks on. I gave up a bunch of fancy stuff to pay for it, but boy was it worth when we were out for six days a couple winters ago. The only thing I couldn't do was laundry....ha! A built in excuse not to do it...I loved it.
Hope they get power back soon before they go absolutely crazy.
How far away is it for you to go home?
