Sleeping sounds Empty Sleeping sounds

Post  Paradox Thu 11 Nov 2010, 12:36 am

I'm trying to change my sleep habits. Currently I fall asleep with the TV on and awaken every two hours. Though our government has much to occupy their time, I am thrilled a law has been passed that commercials need to be the same volume as the tv programs. This will spare me from being jarred awake from SHAM-WOW!

I prefer shows that are being narrated, such as 48 Hours, Forensic Files and Biography.

I turned the TV off tonight but still have been waking very two hours. Dang.

How do you sleep?

I sleep best in the summer when we have fans going. In the last bit we have been going to sleep with a relaxation CD. It's not bad, and there are so many to choose from.

I'm glad to hear commercials are no longer allowed to be so loud. One of my favorite channels does that and it drives me nuts!

Well my husband snores, but I don't think I would call that blissful. I can't stand to have any noise when I sleep. I put in earplugs most nights which seems to help.

Well, w/o my hearing aids I am deaf as a stone so most sounds don't bother me, unless they vibrate strongly
so snoring is OK as long as the person is far away from me Smile
So is a very very quiet radio, fan, etc
I only hate basses and booming thumping sounds etc as I feel them clearly.

What I truly hate is LIGHT - this will wake me up instantly.

I live in a rural area where it is usually dead quiet at night except for the sound of my husband's snoring. I know that I snore at times, too. There are no street lights here and it is completely dark except for moonlight on clear nights.
I sleep so much better here than in the city where I lived previously, with unshielded streetlights and lights from two sports fields.
Light at night IMO, is far worse than sound.

my husband wsa snoring so loudly I though he was a croaking bullfrog! I even recorded him snoring on my cell phone and he thought I made it up! Well...he finally got the point, went to a sleep clinic and has pretty bad sleep apnea! so now he has a machine, he sleeps better, and I DO NOT HAVE TO LISTEN TO HIM SNORING! it was so bad I could hear him three rooms away, with the doors closed, and the tv on!!!

When the problem with my neck and my headaches started, my husband said I started snoring loudly and have ever since. Isnt that odd? I've never figured out the link, but I'm sure it must be there.
