I saw my neuro today and got some very discouraging news. I'm not ready to talk about it yet, it's that bad.

I also found out my 18 year old nephew may be missing in China...has not been heard from for two weeks since he tried to leave the country after accidentally letting his tourist visa lapse. He is a very, very good kid, so I'm pretty sure he hasn't gotten himself into major trouble. My heart says he is ok....just really hoping to hear good news.

Tomorrow is also the anniversary of my baby brother's death.

The pain in my head is so bad and I should be in my "good" period...the one I get three weeks after botox until week eight or so. Work is very pressured and it took 1 1/2 hours to get to my neuro appointment today and cost me 18 bucks to park!!!! 18!

Oh dear. Please send me some positive vibes if you have any to share.

Sending you hugs Milo! Often it can all seem lousy at once. I hope tomorrow is better and you hear from your nephew. I also hope things get better for your head. Stress does not help us any. Find a way to chill for a bit and not worry about the big stuff. Find whatever gives you happy thoughts and focus on that for a while instead. It will get better.

Thanks friends!

Today felt a bit better.

I'm 37 and the neuro suspects I have early Parkinsons. This is a very, very tough pill to swallow for me. Not so much for the mobility issues but for the dementia. Scares the shit out of me. I love my brain! And I need my brain!

No news from the nephew, but again, he is a very good kid, and my gut says he is not in trouble...so hopefully my gut is right!

Today, eight years ago, I was told that my 26 year old baby brother killed himself. Not a great day overall...and of course this stress is ensuring that my migraines stay nice and flared.

I am feeling more positive today though....so thanks again for the support.

Milo

I certainly hope it is not Parkinson's, but if it is here is an interesting article for you. I sent it to my uncle also who has Parkinson's in hope it will help him.

Milo, I am so sorry you have so many things going on at once. We have 2 people in our Lyme support group that were incorrectly diagnosed with Parkinsons. Google Lyme and Parkinsons and you will get a lot of info. I hope today is better for you.
Hugs,
Cindy

I have my three month job review tomorrow to find out if I'm past probation. I'm not expecting any issues as my boss just mentioned being happy to hear that I liked the job.

My missing nephew was due at the Canadian consulate in Beijing yesterday but it was supposedly a holiday and was closed. So he had a flight booked for today, but no one has been able to confrim that he was/ is on it. If he is on the flight, he will be landing safely back in Canada any minute now. Fingers crossed!!!!!!!

Shaking the voodoo chicken for you and your nephew. Hopefully he's on the plane and will be home by this time tomorrow. Best wishes for the job review.

My nephew has his four front teeth all trying to come in at the same time and his little gums look like blood blisters, so happy thoughts his way are appreciated. Obviously he's a lot younger than your nephew. Smile

We still have no word. I'm really getting very worried now.

I hope his poor teeth come in soon so the blisters can stop. Poor little fellow.

Thanks for the positive thoughts everyone. It worked!!!! The Canadian Embassy managed to locate him. There is a lot of red tape but hopefully he will be able to get things cleared up and fly home within a few weeks. Please keep him in your prayers, thoughts and rubber chickening.

Oh gosh, whew, what a relief. I am sure everyone was crawling out of their skin worrying about this boy!

I do think people put way too much emphasis on paperwork, really.
I do understand it is important to be diligent with respecting rules and regulations, but come on, these are for people not the
other way around!

How are you doing otherwise, Milo?
How's your head and other stuff?
Are you considering to be checked for Lyme's?
Thinking of it, you do are outside person - everything's possible!

Well, he is responsible for the red tape, as he let his visa lapse....not a good idea in China!

As for me...I'm still a bag of shite! I missed some work this week, which I try very hard not to do. I've restarted massage with hopes that it will help. But today at my massage we discovered another odd symptom...I couldn't and can't feel my shoulders. It really odd because normally I'm horribly sensitive to any kind of touch.

My massage therapist wasn't thrilled with this new symptom. The nerves for the shoulders that stem from the spine are at the base of the "c's" to the "t's" so it's not from my nerve blocks which are between c2-c4.

I'm now in the midst of another rager with a lot of neuro symptoms, so maybe it's just another migraine symptom. I see my doctor on Tuesday and can start to figure out the treatment plan for the other crap. whoo hoo...good times. Smile

Oh gosh sweetie, not feeling your shoulders is certainly not a good sign.

But I wouldn't bet on Parkinson's or even MS or something like that yet.
I am not sure if I yakked on about Amy Tan's Lyme's disease, but she mentioned with her neuroboreliosis she too, had
severe and strange neurological symptoms.

http://www.lymebook.com/lyme-disease-amy-tan

So while I am not saying you do have it, I think it is worth getting tested for it -but multiple times at least,
because the tests tend to yield false negatives - before worry about anything else.

As for your nephew- yes sweetie, I do get the fact HE let his visa lapse in CHINA.
But JHC, visa is only an administrative formality. So what if a person forgets or lets a visa lapse?
What if one day there will be no visas required at all?

No, I understand, the world worry about terrorism, drug smuggling, human trafficking and whatnot,
and the other thing is if people weren't scared of consequences then there would be too many visas lapsed, - but still...

Sometimes these things are taken too far, if you ask me.
Maybe a 500$ - 1000$ or even more a punishment fee is all is needed...?...

I had a nice night. Turned out my party was with all my old and beloved coworkers from my old job. It was full of a lot of tears and happy stories and I came home with a armful of beautiful gifts and card. I felt so blessed to have them in my life. I also felt so sick.

I did a good job covering my sick looking face wit some talented make-up application,

I'm very sore now but happy to have went. Smile

He is in progress for getting his exit visa, then can book a flight home. Hope it's soon.

Had another very upsetting doctor visit today.

Then I has a total flop of a meeting...huge amount of neurological symptoms in front of all my co-workers. UGH

I hope you are recovered. I've discovered it's better to let coworkers know when I've got a migraine. Otherwise they jump to other conclusions like I'm mad at them or something. Migraines they understand and forgive.

I usually warn my co-workers too. If I'm in my sunglasses, expect me to have a LOT of trouble putting together sentences and keep an eye on me with the cash drawer at the end of the night, 2+2=17?!? Suspect <= this is also what I look like, since I've noticed that I can't open one eye completely with a bad one, that smiley is basically me without my sunglasses.
