Job update

I know I tend to keep things private. I've been working in a new job since Aug, which was temporary full-time. It was really hard and I was really sick for the first few months. I struggled a lot and wondered if I would have to give it up.

I left a very, very toxic work environment. I took the temp job because I was desperate to get out of the work environment and the job was a "step-up" for me. It was a total crap-shoot and I ended up getting it. The hope was it could lead to regular full time, or at the very least, put me into a positon that could lead to a better position.

Well, it's been a crazy ride but I just got offered the job regular full-time! It's so awesome and I'm so happy! It also couldn't be better timing as I need to go off for my surgery in a few weeks.

Thats great news! How are you feeling about the surgery? I am very happy that I had it.

Congrats!

I understand the exhausted part, I just finished my first week of full time employment since I left child care to go back to school in 2008. I'm wiped, but thrilled to be working!

Certainly many up-sides to it all. I feel a welcome shift in my mindset. Now that I know the job is mine I can make it my own, which is great.

The surgery date is fast approaching and I'm super, super scared but my neck pain is so bad that I welcome the fact that this will change after the surgery. I'm not expecting any results that I shouldn't be...but I am hoping.
