Voodoo Chicken!
I need a voodoo chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone have one lying around, that they aren't using???
I'm not picky, I'm willing to take one from the frozen section of the grocery store. Or the whole chicken from the deli section.

Re: Voodoo Chicken!
I swear, we need to find a voodoo chicken connection...then brand them with a "migraines suck" logo and send them out to members. I could shake one of my dogs for you if you like.

Voodoo animals
Thanks! Just give the dog a hug for me. I just shook my cat and I think I'm feeling a little better. I fed my daughter chicken mcnuggets for dinner, and shook the trash a few times when she was done. So technically I guess I shook a chicken tonight

Is everyone here OK? It's been so very quiet, so I'm shaking my mental voodoo chicken (don't have a real one, only a chicken-kitty), hoping you all are doing well, and out enjoying yourselves rather than being on here.

Re: Voodoo Chicken!
Sara,
I have been swamped at work. A while back I told you I had been nominated to a new Board in my profession. Once a week I travel four hours for Board meetings. The other day I left at 9:00 am and got home after midnight. I turned my mileage in at work for 2 1/2 months and it was over 1000 miles. I don't know if I'm coming or going.
Voodoo Chicken news: I was with my friend whose husband had cancer that started the whole voodoo chicken and our Dead Chicken Society. She was told by a ultra conservative bible thumper " Linda, I can't believe you would have a friend who would say such a thing or even think it". Linda told me she'd rather have a friend like me who can make her laugh when things are tough than a friend who would be so judgmental about someone she's never met.
Oh, and we just call the four us DCS. As in "it's time for DCS to get together for lunch". That way we don't have to try to explain to folks why four professional women call themselves the Dead Chicken Society. And yes, we all carry our chickens in our purse. Mine used to be on my key ring but when hubby would drive my car he'd put the keys in his front pocket. With the chicken sticking out. Inevitably someone would ask him if he was "choking the chicken". I carry it in my purse now!

Re: Voodoo Chicken!
Charlotte-
I hope that you're enjoying the position on the board! I understand the long days, I just found out that my school was misinformed about everything they told us in May. Good news, I get to do my last semester at the hospital closest to home, but they will be 12 hour days, or more likely nights. I'll be leaving home about 5PM to get home around 8AM those days. It's only til December, and I figure that most newly qualified and hired resp therapists are on nights, so it'll be good to see what they're all about before I'm out of school.
Milo-
Last time I looked, I googled rubber chicken key chain. I think amazon.com came in the cheapest.
Take care everybody!

If they don't get it, or think we're the messed up ones, then they really don't need to be on here. All of us who actually get, or love those who get migraines will understand the type of humor we use, its a coping skill. Besides, we gotta has our LOLs, or we'll go

Re: Voodoo Chicken!
Steph,
People who don't know me well think for various reasons that I'm a staid, conservative with little sense of humor. I have one, but its in the gutter, so I don't use in front of folks I don't know!

Re: Voodoo Chicken!
One for $4.60 plus shipping at amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Century-Novelty-Rubber-Chicken-Keychain/dp/B002LUW2JY
or a dozen for about $12 shipped:
http://www.noveltieswholesale.com/rubberchickenkeychain.html
I'm debating the dozen...I know other migrainers and would share the Voodoo Chicken (c) philosohpy.
