Leaving the Forum
Hey Everyone:
After giving this a lot of thought, I have decided to leave the forum. I kind of feel guilty for not being sick anymore. When I post about the progress and that the monster is gone because of this surgery I have ambivalent feelings.
First I am excited to share a surgical procedure that actually worked. Then, I feel so overwhelmed for everyone who is still suffering. I just don't think I fit in here any longer, not because of you guys, but because of me, I've been changed.
I totally want to keep friendships made and if anyone wants to keep in touch with me I am leaving you my email address.
I also want everyone to know how much I appreciate the encouragement and understanding that has been shared with me here, there were days if it hadn't been for your kindness I might not have hung on any longer.

Re: Leaving the Forum
Bye Trinity. So glad you are feeling cured.
Come back and check in once and a while.
I'd be happy to hear about long term results.

Oh, I so have so mixed a feelings! on one hand I want you to stay, because- why not - you are our dear friend by now!
on the other, I understand perfectly
go, go out there and live your life migraine free - is what you absolutely deserve!
love and hugs

Re: Leaving the Forum
Dearest Trinity, thank you so much for being a part of our underworld. Like most people here, I am very saddened about you leaving, but that sadness is quickly replaced by the sheer joy of knowing you have beat the monster.
Please do consider popping in every few months, search your name, find this post and give us an update. It would inspire so much hope to know you continue to do well. I think I speak for most when I say that the sharing of your experience is so valuable and your continued success will allow hope to blossom in all of us.
Would it be ok to encourage new members considering the surgery to reach out to you by email? You would be such a great touchstone for them.
From the time I have known you, I have sensed the amazing person inside you being slowly and painfully squelched. I am so, so very happy to know she is free and ready to take on the world with all of her kindness and courage. It is also wonderful to know that your time with us brought you hope and support when you needed it. Ours is a tiny, hidden little support group with a whole lot of quiet support. You will be greatly missed.
All of the best to you! Please enjoy every moment of your freedom for those of us who have yet to find ours.
In kindness,
Milo

Re: Leaving the Forum
I thought I would just pop in and let you know I will be 9 weeks post op from MND surgery this Tuesday. The monster is gone and I am so blessed. It is amazing to be off all narcotics and migraine meds.
I am slowly getting my physical strength back which was in the toilet for so many years I love my morning walks, it feels so good to be outdoors. I spend about 4 hours outside everyday now...glorious!
Thursday and Friday I was able to attend a Global Leadership Summitt and watch presentations on a projection screen throughout the two days with no problems, that was huge. In the past the light alone would have nailed me
I am hoping to return to Seminary in January, just starting one on line course to see how I do. I was 1/3 of the way through a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling when the "monster" derailed me.
I guess the other thing I noticed is such clarity of thought, even in small things; its refreshing to see my brain actually taking off again! I promise to check in and yes, anyone can contact me anytime.
