Hi all. Does anyone have a diagnosis of pernicious anemia? Anyone have any information about the link between it and migraines? So far I've been able to find posts on anemia boards that mention migraines decreasing once B12 injections start, but other than that have not found much.

Anyone else also have this diagnosis?

Sorry to hear Milo.

To break this down, sounds like 2 things 1., you're anemic (which can be caused by numerous issues and IIRC your past health history can cause anemia issues) and 2., your body has a B12 deficiency. Finding why you're not making enough RBC, or the RBC's are being oxygenated enough is an issue. And as well why you are B12 deficient?

Two big questions to have asked and answered. B12 Def. can definitely make you feel tired, fatigued, brain fog, and of course migraine and H/A can be lumped in.

Sorry no answers, but basic questions that you need to ask your docs. Treating symptoms just doesn't cut it anymore, especially as we age.

Good luck,
PF.
